The U.S. News and World Report announced its 2022 ranking list of the best world universities, and Taiwan has 27 universities on the list, with Asia University (AU) being ranked the 1506th in the world, the 17th in Taiwan, the 6th in the private universities, and the 2nd in the non-medical universities.

The U.S. News and World Report announced that 1,750 universities in 90 countries enter the list from more than 26,000 universities which are accepted by the report, and these universities are considered as examples for running schools. The president of the board of trustees of China Asia Associated University (including AU and China Medical University,) Prof. Chang-Hai Tsai, pointed out that the reason for pushing the two schools to strive for various international rankings is mainly to show that the ambition of private schools to run education and the performance of the school can be recognized in the world. Furthermore, Prof. Tsai hopes AU could become a famous international school and cultivate talents as the performance of AU.

According to President of AU, Prof Jeffrey J. P. Tsai, AU was founded 20 years ago, and was listed on the Times Higher Education (THE) report in its 14th year, also was listed in four major international rankings successively, including Rankings of Shanghai Jiao tong University, U.S. News and World Report, and UK QS Global Universities. The performance shows its hard work and honor from AU!

President Tsai said that the four major international rankings adopt different indicators, but there are three common evaluation indicators, one is the number of papers published, the other is the citation rate of the paper, and the third is the international reputation, and AU has stable performance in these indicators for becoming the cornerstone of the list every year.。

AU has two disciplines entered the list of the TOP 1000 by U.S. News and World Report with outstanding performance this year, one is Oncology being ranked No. 353, and the other is clinical medicine ranked No. 852.
