The exhibition is the first in Taiwan to combine ecology with art, and showed the epic ecological documentary “Planet Earth II” of BBC, as well as two 8K ecological documentaries produced by Delta Electronics that won gold awards at the 55th WorldFest-Houston International Film Festival.

The opening ceremony for “Earth Pulsing – Nurturing Life Exhibition,” which was co-organized by Asia University and Delta Electronics Foundation, was held in Asia University Museum of Modern Art today (30th). Physical works include paintings by Taiwanese contemporary artists Hsien-Er Chiang, Ming-Chang Huang, En-Sheng Yang, and Tzu-Chi Yeh that explore nature, and creative projection mapping of the College of Creative Design, Asia University that provides an immersive experience by combining projection technology with art to discuss issues relating to life on Earth and sustainable development. The exhibition made a breakthrough by using only renewable electricity donated by Delta Electronics throughout the 4-month exhibition, working together with Asia University to achieve the first exhibition that uses 100% renewable electricity.

The donation was accepted by Founder Chang-Hai Tsai of Asia University (right), and achieved the first exhibition to use 100% renewable electricity.

Founder Chang-Hai Tsai of Asia University said that Delta Electronics and Asia University fulfilled their social responsibility by working together to combine wisdom and aesthetic education for Earth’s sustainable development. President Jeffrey J.P. Tsai of Asia University pointed out that Asia University aligned its 1,460 courses with the United Nations 17 SDGs, and is currently dedicating its efforts to cultivate “green finance talent” for sustainable development. Asia University will continue to work with Delta Electronics to fulfill their responsibility to the Earth!

Bruce Cheng, Founder of Delta Electronics and Chairperson of Delta Electronics Foundation, stressed that climate change has already impacted every corner of the world, and caused many species to silently become extinct. He hopes that the exhibition will allow people to see the rich biodiversity and natural scenery of the Earth. Vice Chairperson Shan-Shan Kuo of Delta Electronics Foundation added that the foundation recreated the installation art “Birth” of landscape artist Kuei-Chih Lee at the Northeast Coast using bamboo weaving. The egg-shaped appearance symbolizes protecting the birth of coral, and introduces coral restoration work by Delta Electronics at the Northeast Coast, in hopes that more people will pay attention to ecological issues.

Motion pictures showed by “Earth Pulsing – Nurturing Life Exhibition” include “Planet Earth II,” the first 4K ecological documentary series produced by BBC, and BBC also licensed a static image exhibition for “Planet Earth II” and “Blue Planet II,” taking visitors on a journey of wondrous species. The 8K documentaries “Life in the Coral Reefs” and “Swimming with Humpback Whale” showed using Delta’s 8K projection technology and 4K immersive interactive projections allowed visitors to experience the beauty of ecology as if they were personally on the scene.

What is it like to explore nature from the perspective of art and aesthetics? Director Fan Pan of Asia University Museum of Modern Art pointed out that contemporary artists Hsien-Er Chiang, Ming-Chang Huang, En-Sheng Yang, and Tzu-Chi Yeh transform what they see and feel into paintings, and “gazing at nature” involves abstract rhythms of the heart, presentation of garden life, ecological observations in the cold of Antarctica, and the natural authenticity of the aesthetic philosophy of Laozi and Zhuangzi. Furthermore, the creative and immersive projection mapping “Embrace Nature” by the College of Creative Design, Asia University allows a more profound understanding of the emotions that human beings have towards nature.
