Middle East Technical University (METU) in Turkey has released the "2024 World University Rankings by Academic Performance" (URAP), where Asia University has climbed from 721st place last year to 705th, showing a progress of 16 places. It ranks 8th in Taiwan overall, 4th among private universities, and is the top non-medical private university.

  This year, among nearly 20,000 universities globally, 51 universities from Taiwan made it to the list, with Asia University ranking 8th.

  President Jeffrey J.P. Tsai mentioned that Asia University has consistently been ranked among the world's best universities by Times Higher Education (THE) for 10 consecutive years. In the "2024 World University Subject Rankings," it excels in three major fields, ranking first among private universities in Taiwan. Over the past 10 years, Asia University has also been listed in international rankings such as QS in the United States and the Academic Ranking of World Universities (ARWU), formerly known as the Shanghai Ranking. Additionally, 19 professors from Asia University have been recognized as among the "top 2% of scientists globally." This achievement marks a new milestone in Asia University's journey towards becoming a world-class university, showcasing its recognized academic performance domestically and internationally, emphasizing the importance of continuous innovation.

  Ching-Hsien Hsu, the Research and Development Director at Asia University, mentioned that METU has been publishing the World University Rankings by Academic Performance annually since 2010. This ranking evaluates academic performance and is based on indicators such as the quantity of publications, citation counts, international collaboration, and other metrics.

Asia University's top ranking in the "2024 URAP World University Rankings" highlights its dedication to academic excellence and research advancement as a leading non-medical private institution.
