Asia University’s College of Information and Electrical Engineering has reached a new milestone in AI talent cultivation. In just over a year since launching its NVIDIA certification program, AU students have earned over 100 NVIDIA international AI certifications, making it the highest number among all universities in Taiwan. Additionally, through its partnership with Amazon Web Services (AWS) and the establishment of the Cloud Innovation Academy, 113 students have already obtained AWS certifications. Combined, over 200 students now hold internationally recognized credentials in AI, demonstrating strong readiness for careers in the global AI industry.

AU President Jeffrey J. P. Tsai emphasized that in today’s era of tech-driven development, global connectivity, and sustainability, AU has been proactively building an AI talent cultivation hub. By integrating AI education with the needs of smart healthcare and the health-tech industry, the university aims to develop interdisciplinary elite talent. The acquisition of AWS and NVIDIA certifications significantly enhances students’ international employability, making them highly sought after by global enterprises. Graduates can expect competitive global salaries, with AI professionals often securing positions with annual salaries of USD 70,000–80,000 abroad.

Dean of the College of Information and Electrical Engineering, Dr. Ching-Hsien Hsu, noted that AU students have obtained NVIDIA certifications in areas such as deep learning, accelerated computing, and generative AI model training—establishing a strong foundation for advanced careers in AI and smart technologies. The college also offers extensive training in AWS cloud architecture. Just this year alone, 53 new certifications (AWS + NVIDIA) were awarded, bringing the cumulative total to over 200, a testament to AU’s cross-platform, high-intensity technical training capabilities.

Certified students come from various departments including Computer Science, Biomedical Informatics, and AI, spanning from sophomores to graduate students. Their proficiency in cutting-edge AI technologies has contributed to winning over 100 domestic and international competition awards, further reinforcing their post-graduation career readiness.

Chief Information Officer Dr. Chun-Yuan Lin added that AI deep learning is one of the most dynamic and fast-growing fields today. Students trained in NVIDIA’s Deep Learning Institute (DLI) courses gain strong skills in data processing and analytics, which form a robust foundation for future careers. These achievements are the result of institutionalized training plans, faculty with industry expertise, and interdisciplinary resource integration. Most importantly, AU’s long-term commitment to the principles of “seamless learning-to-application” and “certification equals employability” has made its students globally competitive.

Dean Hsu further stated that AU will continue to expand its AI certification training programs, increasing the number of students with internationally recognized credentials. The goal is to prepare students to transition directly from campus to the global tech industry’s front lines.
