Now in its 17th edition, the 2026 QS Asia rankings represent the largest evaluation to date, covering 1,529 universities across 25 countries and regions. QS evaluates universities based on 11 key indicators, including: academic reputation, employer reputation (graduate performance in the job market), faculty‑student ratio, citations per paper, papers per faculty, staff with a PhD, international research network, international faculty, international students, inbound exchange students, and outbound exchange students.
According to media reports, QS Senior Vice President Ben Sowter noted that Taiwan’s government has demonstrated strong ambition for the internationalization of higher education and is actively attracting global talent. He stated that the ranking results show government policies have supported universities in achieving many goals, but that Taiwanese universities must continue to strengthen research impact and employer reputation to maintain regional competitiveness.

Asia University Founder Dr. Chang‑Hai Tsai emphasized that the QS Asia rankings are one of the most important international indicators assessing academic research strength and graduates’ global employability. He stated that AU continues to enhance academic performance, career development, and global competitiveness, leading to steady advancement in international rankings and improved employment outcomes for students.
Asia University President Jeffrey J.P. Tsai noted that AU has performed strongly across major domestic and international university rankings. As the number of AU alumni steadily grows, their excellent performance in the workforce has led AU to repeatedly be recognized as “the private university most favored by employers.” AU's emphasis on interdisciplinary capability, professional competitiveness, and high certification and licensure pass rates is reflected clearly in its QS results.
