Asia University has been ranked 223rd in the 2025 U.S. News & World Report Best Global Universities in Asia. In the global subject rankings, Asia University secured the top spot in Taiwan for both "Artificial Intelligence" and "Green and Sustainable Science and Technology." Nationally, it ranks 6th among universities in Taiwan, 2nd among private universities, and 1st among non-medical private universities.

The "2025 Best Global Universities" subject rankings by U.S. News & World Report place Asia University as the top institution in Taiwan in the fields of "Artificial Intelligence" and "Green and Sustainable Science and Technology."

Asia University made significant strides in the "2025 Best Global Universities" rankings, released by U.S. News & World Report in July, securing the 755th position globally. In specific subject areas, Asia University achieved outstanding rankings, securing the top position in Taiwan in "Artificial Intelligence" and "Green and Sustainable Science and Technology." Following these achievements, Asia University was further evaluated in the "2025 Best Global Universities in Asia" list, where it was ranked 223rd in Asia, 6th in Taiwan, 2nd among private universities, and 1st among non-medical private universities.

The China Medical University (CMU) and Asia University (AU) system, collectively performed exceptionally well in the "2025 Best Global Universities" rankings, with CMU ranked 285th globally and AU at 755th. AU excelled in AI, Green Sustainability, and Electrical and Electronic Engineering, ranking 1st in Taiwan in AI and Green Sustainability, and 2nd in Electrical and Electronic Engineering. In detailed subject rankings, AU ranked 71st globally in "Green and Sustainable Science and Technology," 115th in "Artificial Intelligence," 118th in "Electrical and Electronic Engineering," 219th in "Computer Science," 442nd in "Environment/Ecology," 640th in "Clinical Medicine," and 664th in "Biology and Biochemistry." Notably, AU's rankings in "Artificial Intelligence" and "Green and Sustainable Science and Technology" were the highest in Taiwan.

Furthermore, U.S. News & World Report selected 1,131 universities in Asia from those listed, further evaluating them in the "2025 Best Global Universities in Asia" rankings. A total of 39 universities from Taiwan were included. CMU ranked 61st in Asia, 2nd in Taiwan, and 1st among private universities, while AU ranked 223rd in Asia, 6th in Taiwan, 2nd among private universities, and 1st among non-medical private universities.

Dr. Chang-Hai Tsai, Chairman of CMU-AU System, expressed his encouragement for both universities to continue their international development efforts, nurturing cross-disciplinary global talent. He emphasized that the rankings from U.S. News & World Report in both "Best Global Universities" and "Best Global Universities in Asia" are significant global benchmarks. The strong international rankings of both universities reflect their educational achievements and have garnered global recognition. With leading rankings in various disciplines, they aim to further enhance their standings and strive towards being on par with the world's top universities.

President Jeffrey J.P. Tsai of Asia University highlighted the university's commitment to academic excellence and alignment with global trends. Seven years ago, AU began promoting AI by establishing an AI Research Center. Four years ago, it set up the largest academic metaverse base in Central Taiwan and collaborated with Harvard University and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) on AI intelligent medical projects. The semiconductor company- AMD provided AI-related equipment, leading to the establishment of the "AMD Logic and Computing Laboratory" at AU. Additionally, AU has discussed potential research collaborations in health care with NVIDIA. These efforts have solidified AU's position in the global AI field, achieving significant rankings in its debut.

Dr. Mei-chin Yin, Director of Research and Development at Asia University, noted that 19 AU scholars were selected as part of Stanford University's list of the world's top 2% scientists this year, with nearly 10 of them specializing in AI within the computer science department. AU continues to promote AI-related courses and established the "AI Programming Elite Class" in 2019 to nurture talent comprehensively. AU students have participated in various national competitions, winning over 100 awards. With a strong faculty, excellent academic performance, and the ability to collaborate with top industries, AU is committed to developing as a "Green University" and implementing sustainable education.
