Asia University is ranked 9th among private universities. Asia University made its debut in the top 10 last year and has improved by one spot this year. It is hailed as the "youngest and most significantly progressive university in Taiwan," having been founded 23 years ago.
The survey also highlights Asia University's ranking as the 5th best university in the field of "Social and Psychological Sciences" and the 7th in "Information Sciences" nationwide. Recognized for its practical orientation towards enterprises and emphasis on the immediate employability of graduates, Asia University has consecutively ranked among the "World's Best Universities" for 10 years. In the "2024 World University Subject Rankings," Asia University excels in three major areas, ranking 1st among private universities in Taiwan, and secures the 2nd position in two categories, earning accolades for its outstanding performance and favorability among corporate recruiters.

Furthermore, the survey categorizes universities by professional clusters, where Asia University ranks 5th nationwide in the "Best Universities in Social and Psychological Sciences," described as "rising swiftly upon its first appearance on the list." The reason behind this recognition is attributed to Asia University's Psychology Department, established in 2003, being the youngest among the listed universities. Despite its relatively short history, the department's graduates are highly regarded in the workplace. It is one of the few departments approved by the Ministry of Examination to simultaneously cultivate clinical psychologists and counseling psychologists. It also offers opportunities for students to study, intern, and apprentice at China Medical University and Asia University affiliated hospitals, integrating scientific theory with professional practice.

Dr. Ruey-Ming Liao, Director of the Psychology Department at Asia University, pointed out that the national examination for psychologists has high entry barriers, requiring candidates to hold a master's degree in psychology and fulfill a one-year full-time internship at a professional institution. Graduates from Asia University's Psychology Department have performed exceptionally well, with 6 passing the clinical psychologist exam and 8 passing the counseling psychologist exam in the 112th year, totaling 14 passing the psychologist national examination. Among them, this year's graduate, Alumni Wan-Ching Lu, achieved the fastest qualification as a psychologist in just 3 years and is currently serving as a clinical psychologist at Taichung Veterans General Hospital.
