Asia University's Creative Design College recently hosted a visit from a delegation of the Design College of f Soegijapranata Catholic University (SCU) from Indonesia. Led by Asia University's Vice President and Dean of the Creative College, Mr. Chi-Hsiung Chen, and joined by nine representatives including SCU's International Director, Peter Ardhianto, discussions revolved around collaborative initiatives such as organizing international academic conferences and workshops, faculty exchanges, and student mobility programs. These endeavors aim to foster deeper cooperation between the two institutions in the field of design.

Members of the Indonesian delegation included Peter Ardhianto, International Director of SCU; Bayu Widiantoro and Arwin Pumama Jati, Vice Deans of the Design College; Louis Cahyo Kumolo, Head of the Visual Communication Department; Maya Putri Utami, Executive Secretary of the Visual Communication Department; and faculty members Alfbns Christian, Ryan Sheehan Nababan, Agnes Indah Suciani, and Tabita Nani Aryani.
Mr. Chi-Hsiung Chen, Asia University's Vice President, highlighted the integration of generative artificial intelligence in their design curriculum, offering comprehensive education covering digital media, visual communication, creative products, fashion design, interior design, and more. This integration of deep learning and artificial intelligence aims to nurture innovative designers equipped with forward-thinking abilities to tackle future challenges.
Peter Ardhianto, SCU's International Director, noted that SCU boasts 21 university departments, 8 research institutes, and 1 doctoral program, establishing itself as a leading Catholic university in Indonesia. Having graduated from Asia University's Department of Digital Media Design in 2022, Ardhianto expressed his deep affection for Asia University. He emphasized that this exchange deepens understanding between the design colleges of both institutions, and he looks forward to future collaborations driving advancements in design innovation and technological integration, thereby enriching design education.
Louis Cahyo Kumolo, Head of the Visual Communication Design Department at SCU, mentioned that Laurensia Priska Dyahayu, a senior student, has achieved excellent results as an exchange student at Asia University's Visual Communication Design Department. He anticipates sending more design students to Asia University in the future to enrich their learning experiences and further promote in-depth cooperation between the two institutions in the field of design.
